Even the Edmonton analysts I listen to on tsn 1260 think the cupboards are super bare. The only one that could be considered a high end prospect is Yamamoto

Way out of the box but I think Tre should roll the dice if we lose to Boston & Vegas in these next two games. It seems pretty obvious that rental players like Nash & Kane & a few others have whacko price tags GM's just aren't going to pay. But most GM's would prefer to do a real hockey trade. I would auction Brodie out to teams like the Leafs, Tampa, Jets, heck even the Oilers would be in on Brodie & they are sellers.
I think you can get a young NHL ready RW like Kapanen & a 1st & 2nd for him because he has 2 more years at a great cap hit left. Yeah we are still in the hunt, but I would really like to bring Phat Ras up with Stone & see how Kulak & Hamonic do.
If we leave to trading Brodie at the draft he'll get lost in the Doughty, OEL & Karlsson hype & rumours. Just stirring the pot if we lose these next two games, yikes.

Our pipelines isn't much worse than Calgary's... I was more referring to blowing your wad on Hamonic. I was too lazy to look it up but was under the impression you guys had no picks till the 3rd round.

Here's something that was looked up. Oilers with MacTavish as head coach and Horcoff/Gagner on the ice had three bad years where they played 246 games in that span they got 244 points

Fast forward to the McLellan coaching McDavid/Drisital time by years end if they continue at this years pace the same 3 years and 246 games will put them at 246 points
2 points better can't wait for the next 10 years

I know we've been scouting the Pens and Sens recently, and there were a number of teams that scouted our Florida game, most notably the Habs and the Yotes. Given how much Tre likes making deals with Arizona, maybe we're in on Domi? I have no idea.

Don't even try to defend that tire fire for the Oilers organization. The past ten years have been an embarrassment and the next ten don't look any better. And the talk on ON early in the year predicting a Stanley Cup has been replaced with #1 pick aspirations. Outside of McDavid, the entire team are under achievers.

There is a lot of depth in the organization right now. I think that is kinda why we gave so much for haminic And you will see that depth come into play and we will recoup some of the 2nd round picks. And imo the oilers are in trouble there ahl team isn't vary good,they really don't have a goalie in the system. No D. And really unless they shead a lot of money off the books how are they going to sign anybody. Horrible management group. But you know they were good in the 80s maybe we should keep celebrating that again,and again and again and again and again. Go 🔥
